SHELBY- Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Williams, 80, of 1031 Old Boiling Springs Road, passed away Monday, November 11, 2013 at White Oak Manor of Shelby. A native of Cleveland county, she was born October 26, 1933, daughter of the late William “Bill” M. and Martha Hamrick Philbeck. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to play the piano and everyone who knew her, loved her and she loved them in return. Monday morning she was set free of all her pain she has endured her whole life.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Joe Williams; one brother, Ben Philbeck.
SURVIVED: She is survived by one son, Kevin Williams and wife Joan of Shelby; one daughter, Beth Williams and fiancé Barry Kerley of Charlotte; two sisters, Patsy Guffy and Agnes Winn and husband Bobby all of Shelby; seven grandchildren, Tanya, Amber, Shannon and TJ, Stephanie, Chris, and Steven; six great grandchildren.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Thursday at Crestview Baptist Church.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
CLERGY: Rev. Stan Webb will officiate.
BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
