Reece Moore

SHELBY: Reece Moore, 80, died Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at his home. A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late Bayless and Helen Higgins Moore. He retired as a truck driver and had a love for fishing and camping. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brother and five sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Louise Payne Moore of the home; sons, Reece C. Moore and wife Lisa of Boiling Springs and Adam Parker and wife Miranda of Rutherfordton; daughters, Patty Shepard and husband Billy of Patterson Springs, Carrie VanBuren and husband Mark Garrison of Kings Mountain and Theresa Bridges of Vale; sister, Mary Essie Moore of Asheville; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and his special cat, Puddy. The family will receive friends 2-3:30pm, Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
