Remine Moss

SHELBY: Remine Moss, 80, died Monday, December 7, 2020 at Atrium Health Cleveland. A native of Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth Barr Swinehart. First and Foremost Remine was a loving wife and mother. She valued the time she spent w/her co-workers at Porter Brothers, Cable Link then CA Short which totaled 44 years in all. Remine was also an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Beta Sigma Phi sorority for more than 50 years and she made lifelong friends throughout both organizations. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Fleeta Jo Swinehart. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bill Moss of the home; son, Kevin Moss and wife Melissa of Raleigh; and her K-9 companion, Pete. A visitation will be held 12-1:30pm, Friday, December 11, 2020 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2pm, in Cleveland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary Post 82, PO Box 82 Shelby, NC 28151 or VFW Autism Fund, 855 W. Sumter St., Shelby, NC 28150. Facemasks will be required while inside the funeral home.
