Richard Pruitt

September 8, 1951 — May 27, 2016

KINGS MOUNTAIN-Richard “Cooter” Pruitt, 64, died Friday, May 27, 2016, at Carolinas Healthcare System-Cleveland. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of Bertha Hayes Pruitt of Shelby, and the late Otto Pruitt. He served in the Marines, enjoyed the outdoors, and was a loving husband and father.

PRECEDED: In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Pruitt.

SURVIVED: In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Vickey Thrift Pruitt, of the home; and son, Jeff Pruitt of Kings Mountain.

SERVICES: A private family service will be held
