SHELBY: Robert “Bobby” Dawson, 91, died Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at his home. He was the son of the late Ira and Blanche Dawson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lucille Dawson; brothers, Horace and Darrell Dawson; and sister, Elizabeth McKinney. Bobby is survived by his daughters, Robin Cash and husband Kenneth and Debbie Smith and husband Darrell all of Shelby; grandchildren, Chris Phillips, David Phillips, Austin Cash, Tyler Melton, Caleb Smith, and Cody Smith; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chirs Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
