Rodney Eugene Hamrick, born on November 16, 1977, in Cleveland County, North Carolina, passed away on March 13, 2025, at the age of 47. His sudden departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of his family and friends.

Rodney spent two decades as a dedicated Brick Mason with Beam Construction, where he was known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail. Beyond his professional life, Rodney found joy in the thrill of racing dirt bikes, the tranquility of gardening, and the satisfaction of tinkering on cars. These passions reflected his adventurous spirit and hands-on approach to life.

He is survived by a loving family, including his mother, Linda Peterson Johnson, and her husband Cliff of Shelby; his father, William Hamrick, and his wife Sheri of Taylorsville; his beloved children, son Riley Hamrick and daughter Rose Hamrick, both of Shelby; his sisters, Mandy Johnson and her husband Kevin of Maine, and Kristie Singer and her husband Craig of Denver, NC; his brothers, Chris Hamrick of West Virginia, Brandon Hamrick of Taylorsville, and Jeremy Simmons of Cherryville; and his cherished nephew, Junior Johnson.

A gathering to honor and remember Rodney's life will be held 2pm-3pm, Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. The family appreciates the thoughts and prayers of all who knew him during this difficult period.
