Kings Mountain- Ronald Stephen Carpenter Sr. 76, died Thursday, December 23,2021 at CaroMont health Gastonia.
We are saddened by the loss of beloved Ron, called Steve by family and friends. He left us on 12-23-2021, after a difficult illness.
A big Hearted and generous man, he worked hard his whole life. After graduating high school, he traveled the world in the merchant marines. After this he joined the Air Force, spending 8 years and reaching the rank of staff Sgt. During this time he took college courses while building his Ron's appliance service. He loved traveling, and exploring history, and instilling love of this and building excellence in his sons.
He is survived by his sons, Ronald Jr. and wife Pam Carpenter, and Bill Carpenter. brothers, Sid and wife Susan Carpenter, David and wife Sandra Carpenter; sisters, Fran and wife Richard Davis, Cindy and husband George Davis. Loved ones Ronald has joined in death include his wife, Barbara Carpenter. Parents Ronnie and Edith Carpenter; brothers, Paul and Larry Carpenter.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 6, 2022, from 3-5pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.
