Ronald Marshall Eaker

SHELBY- Ronnie Eaker, 75, died Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Carolinas Healthcare System-Cleveland. A native of Cleveland Co., he was born to the late Wilbert and Catherine Wallace Eaker. He was a loving father, father-in-law and grandfather. He proudly served his country in the Navy. He was a collector of many things and loved giving rides in his taxi cab.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Irene Eaker and his sister, Linda Randolph.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of three years, Doris “Dot” Eaker, of the home; son, Michael Eaker and wife Nancy of Shelby; stepson, Ricky Mellon and wife Angie of Shelby; brother, Richard Eaker of Indian Trail, grandchildren, Brandon Eaker and Jeremy Eaves; and his fur baby Sugar.

FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

OFFICIATING: Rev. Larry Laws

BURIAL: will follow the service at El Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery
