Ronald "Smooch" Smart

KINGS MOUNTAIN- Ronnie “Smooch” Smart, 67, of 131 ½ Kristie Lane, passed away Monday October 12, 2015 at his residence. A native of Cleveland county, he was the son of the late Odell and Ruth McCurry Smart. He loved to play golf and pool. He was a self employed painter and was very generous. He loved his wife and family very much.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lola Diane Price Smart.

SURVIVED: He is survived by two sons, Lee Smart and wife Joanne and Gary Smart and girlfriend Starla Mergott all of Kings Mountain; two daughters, Rhonda Smart Hoyle and husband Dereik of Shelby, and Val Smart Hughes and husband Jason of Kings Mountain; one sister, Vickie Williams of Kings Mountain; one brother, Gary Smart, Sr. and wife Linda also of Kings Mountain; nine grandchildren; and three Great grandchildren.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday in the chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 6-7:30pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

CLERGY: Rev. Roy Clark will officiate

INTERNMENT: Grover Cemetery
