Ronnie Lowery

July 19, 1940 — October 3, 2011

SHELBY- Mr. Ronald “Ronnie” Lowery, 71 of Pleasant Hill Church Road., died Mon., Oct. 3, 2011 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of Isabel Wright Lowery of Shelby and the late Mike Lowery. He served as a military police officer in the Army. Ronnie was the owner/operator of Lowery’s Country Corner and was an avid farmer known for his tomatoes. He was a lifelong member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.


SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Gwen Davis Lowery of the home; son, Tony Lowery of Grover; daughter, Starr Lowery of VA.,; three brothers, Steven Lowery and wife Sadie, Reid Lowery and wife Kerry, Tommy Lowery and wife Amanda, all of Grover; four grandchildren, Breanna Davis and husband Scottie of N.D., Gabby Heavner of Shelby, Cy and Walker Lowery, both of Boiling Springs; one great granddaughter, Isabelle Davis.

SERVICES: Thursday, 3PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church

VISITATION: Thursday, 1-3pm at the church, and other times at the home.

CLERGY: Revs. Gregg Martin, Jim Hudson, and Archie Brown

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery
