Rotha "Kitty" Richard

SHELBY- Rotha "Kitty" Waters Richard, 60, died Sunday, April 1, 2018 at her home. A native of Rutherford Co., she was born to the late Bud and Francis McDaniel Waters. She loved baseball, but her world totally revolved around her grandbrats who lovingly called her Grammie and Kitty.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jeffrey and Ricky Waters.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her son, Shane Richard and wife Paige; daughter Mandy Pruitt; sister Candice Waters; brother, Mark Waters, all of Shelby; grandchildren, Tyler, Bobby and Molly Pruitt and Jaxon and Evie Richard; fiancé’, Dale Callahan, her fur baby Smartie; and her best friend, Pam Bolton.

FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

OFFICIATING: Rev. Artie Hubbard

BURIAL: will follow the funeral service at Race Path Baptist Church Cemetery
