Rozee Watson

SHELBY – Mrs. Rozee E. Watson passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Jefferson County, Tenn., Mrs. Watson was the daughter of the late Alger C. Eslinger and Rilla Eslinger Repass. Mrs. Watson worked at the former Cleveland Times newspaper for 27 years. She and her late husband were owners and publishers for 17 of those years during which time she served as a managing editor. She was a member of Westview Baptist Church and was secretary and treasurer of the Ladies II Sunday School Class for many years.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, J. Fred Watson, sister, Louise Schaffer, stepfather, Carl Repass, sister-in-law, Bonnie Repass, and daughter-in-law, Wanda Watson.

SURVIVED: Mrs. Watson is survived by her son, Larry Watson; two daughters, Patsy Pritchard and husband Gene, all of Shelby, Susan Clark and husband Chuck of Belmont; brother, William Repass; nephew, Keith Repass, both of New Market, TN; grandchildren, Matthew Watson of Shelby, Danielle Lamb and husband Justin of Greer, SC, Chris and Emily Clark of Belmont; and step-granddaughter Debbie McAbee and her daughter, Megan of Shelby.

SERVICES: Wednesday, 11am, at Westview Baptist Church.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Tuesday, 6-7:30pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at the home of her daughter, Patsy Pritchard, 127 Elizabeth Ave., Shelby.

BURIAL: Interment will be in Cleveland Memorial Park
