Russell David Westbrook

SHELBY- Mr. Russell David Westbrook, 88, of 1550 Charles Road, died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Carillon Assisted Living. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Leon Russell and Bertha Mann Westbrook. A collegiate swimmer, Mr. Westbrook was a pilot during WWII and graduated from Ohio State University with a Masters degree in Physics. He retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 1986 and was a Ham Radio enthusiast who also enjoyed gardening.

PRECEDED IN DEATH:. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia Kinney Westbrook and son James Leon Westbrook.

SURVIVORS: He is survived by two sons Paul and Margaret Westbrook of Boiling Springs and Richard and Della Adams of Memphis, Tennessee; and two grandsons David and Matthew Westbrook of Boiling Springs.
