Ruth "Jackie" Gilliam

SHELBY- Mrs. Ruth “Jackie” Gilliam, 73, of 5001 Westgate Dr., died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter to the late Ruben Ray and Claira Rippy Conner. Jackie retired from Cleveland Memorial Hospital as a nurse. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

SURVIVORS: Two sons, Carl Norris Gilliam of Shelby, and Gary Gilliam of Clover, SC; three daughters, Devair Pruitt and her husband Roger of Shelby, Renee Bost and her husband Patton of Kings Mountain, and Debbie Steadham and her husband Jimmy of Shelby; a foster daughter, Cindy Gray of Boiling Springs; two sisters, Ebbie Jo Brown and Joyce Hamrick, both of Bostic; sixteen grandchildren, Nikki, Eddie, Scottie, Bradley, Jason, Christopher, April, Cassie, Joshua, Maddie, Carlee, Mary, Michael, Chris, Jonathan, and Sara Beth; 7 great-grandchildren, Meredeth, Kamie, Noah, Addison, Thomas Clay, Ava Marie, and Caden; two nieces and two nephews.

VISITATION: Thursday (8/21), from 2-3:00pm at Westwood Heights Baptist Church.

HEADQUARTERS: and at other times at the home.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Thursday (8/21), 3:00pm at Westwood Heights Baptist Church.
