Sandra Jugan

Shelby, NC: Sandra Kathryn Jugan, 77, died Wednesday, December 28, 2022 peacefully at her home in Shelby, North Carolina. Born in Middlesex County, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Martyko) Deak. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Andy Jugan (1987) and fiancé/life partner Steve Nelson (2013); and her younger brother, Bill Deak. She is survived by her sister, Rosemarie Trela of Media, PA and her nieces Patty Trela and husband Brian Hoskins, Christine Simkins and husband James, and Lucinda Schofer and husband Gregory. Sandy lived a full life traveling the United States in her younger years, eventually settling in Florida. She managed several Eckard Drug stores for over a decade. After experiencing one too many hurricanes, she relocated to North Carlina and retired in Mooresboro. She loved to read and catch up with family and friends.
