Sandy Thompson

SHELBY- Mrs. Sandy Rudisill Thompson, 62, of 1577 Timberlake Drive, died Monday, August 24, 2009 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late William Rudisill and Mary McKinley Rudisill. She attended Northside Baptist Church, was a homemaker, and served in the Army.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: She was preceded in death by her parents.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by her husband, Rob Thompson, of the home; two daughters, Heather Buckley of Dallas, NC and Hannah Worthey of the home; a grandchild, Tyler Buckley of Dallas, NC; aunts, uncles and many special cousins; and her mother-in-law, Velma Thompson of Shelby.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.

BURIAL: Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
