Sarah W. Hord

KINGS MOUNTAIN-Sarah Whisnant Hord, 86, died Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Testa Family Hospice House, in Kings Mountain. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late James and Alpha Francis Whisnant. She was a member of Patterson Grove Baptist Church, and loved listening to gospel music. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Harold Hord. She is survived by her loving son, Rick Hord and wife Melody of Kings Mountain; and brother, Joel Whisnant and wife Doris of Kings Mountain.
A Service of Remembrance will be held 2pm, Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel in Kings Mountain, with the Rev. Robbie Moore officiating. A private burial will follow in Patterson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
