Scott Woods

KINGS MOUNTAIN- Scotty “Scott” Dee Woods, 55, died, Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Hospice of Wendover, surrounded by loving family and friends. A native of Potter County, TX, he was the son of the late Bynum and Fay Woods of Kings Mountain. He worked in textiles and at Eaton Corporation where he was an exceptional employee. He was energetic and hard working at what he loved best, he had many years at both places of perfect attendance. He loved his family and loved to joke with everyone. He enjoyed collecting Beatles Memorabilia, coins, and old family pictures, and going out with friends.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Heather Paysour of Shelby.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his two sons, Brandon Lee Woods of Grover and Austin Will Brackett of Blacksburg, SC; one brother, Ricky Woods and wife Bonnie of Shelby; two sisters, Jackie Porter and husband Roger, twin sister, Debbie W. Lail and husband Sam all of Shelby; one granddaughter, Chloe Woods of Grover; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Steve, Tami and Kimme Guin, Fredia Baily, Sandy Jones and Doug, Shelia and Chris Walker, Willie Wray, Charlie Jones, and all his buddies at Eaton.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held 2pm Saturday in the chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Saturday at the funeral home.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery
