Selma Hamrick Harris

MOORESBORO- Mrs. Selma Hamrick Harris, 94, of Crawley Memorial Nursing Center, formerly of 3217 McKinney Rd, died Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, she is a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Green Hamrick, and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband of 41 years, George W. Harris; son Harvey Harris; and eight brothers and sisters.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by three sons Clyde Harris and wife Carolyn of Mooresboro, G. Burel Harris and wife Pam of Shelby, and Billy Michael Harris and wife Mary Lu of Greer, SC; one daughter Doris H. Scruggs and husband Marion of Mooresboro; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and daughter-in-law Diane Harris of Hamlet, NC.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Saturday, January 10, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home from 5:30-7pm and other times at the home.
LIE IN STATE: The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
FUNERAL: Services will be held Sunday, January 11, at Trinity Baptist Church at 2pm.
INTERMENT: Burial will immediately follow in Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery
CLERGY: Revs. Buddy Morehead and Mike Frazier will be officiating
MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to the building fund at Trinity Baptist Church, 746 Trinity Church Road, Mooresboro, 28114
