SHELBY: Sheila Hopper, 61, died Tuesday July 16, 2019 at Atrium Health Care-Pineville. A native of Cleveland Co., she is the daughter of Jean Edmondson and husband Ricky and the late DF Buff. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was just simply the best. She loved listening to and singing gospel music. She cared for everyone that knew her and will be dearly missed by all. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents George and Annie Buff and maternal grandparents Wilbert and Pearl Brown. She is survived by her son Ronnie Moon, Jr.; daughters Melissa Edmondson and Ronita Archie; grandchildren Jaylon Moon, Jeremiah Moon, Kiely Archie, Jamari Archie and Justin Johnson; sister Kathy Tesseneer and husband Max; special friend and caregiver Layman Mauney; numerous Aunts, nieces, nephews and lots of friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 17 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday July 18, 2019 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Andy Oliver, officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Sunset Cemetery.
