Shirley Bridges

SHELBY- Shirley Clary Bridges 73, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC. She was a native of Cleveland County and the daughter of the late William Ellie and Kate Clary. Shirley was very active in her church. She loved her Sunday Class, The Nellie Sue Class and many fond memories of each of her friends. She taught the class for many years until her illness. She loved her church and church family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Ray Bridges and a son Charles Reece Bridges, and three brothers, Horace, Everette, and Mitchell Clary, and a sister, Joyce Clary Helton of Mt. Airy.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Aneisa Bridges of Cana, Virginia, a sister, Linda Lemons and husband Evans Lemons of Shelby NC, two brothers, Bobby and wife Jeanette Clary of Shelby, NC, Joe and Katie Clary of Raleigh, NC, two sister-in-laws, Nancy Clary of Cary, NC., Sylvia Lovelace of Shelby, a brother-in-law Claude Helton of Mt. Airy, NC. Max and Jeanette Bridges of Shelby, NC, and sister-in-laws Diane Bridges, Carol Anne Chapman, Shelby, NC, and Kaye Santona, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Friday at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Shelby, NC. The service will be at 11:00 AM. Officiating Minister will be the Rev. Tim Trexler, pastor of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.
