Shirley Ann Hughes

GROVER- Ms. Shirley Dickerson Hughes, 59, of 115 Carothers Lane, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Gaston County, she was born December 2, 1954, daughter of the late James Ray and Mildred Lee Pressley Dickerson. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Balcksburg, SC.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one grandchild, Rebakah Colleen; one sister, Janice Bayless; and one great nephew, Quintin Shane Riddle.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her Fiancée, William Fraback of the home; one son, Ron Hughes of Gastonia; one daughter, Joann Hughes of Chisinau, Moldova; one sister, Brenda Barrett of Kings Mountain; two brothers, Melvin Dickerson and wife Pat of Casar, David Dickerson and wife Debbie of Washington state; her special friend Virgie Johnson.

SERVICES: Funeral service will be held 2:00pm Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Blacksburg.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends 6-8:00 pm Tuesday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.

CLERGY: Rev. Steve Hicks and Rev. Randy Richardson will officiate

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery
