Steven Monroe

Steven Dale Monroe , age 68, passed peacefully to a better life, surrounded by his loving family. Steve is
survived by his wife Dixie Monroe, loving wife for 47 years, his son Steven Bryce Monroe, granddaughters Cassidy Levonne Monroe and Rileigh Stewart. Also of the family are Dale Allen Monroe, cherished nephew and his daughter Krista Monroe. Surviving sisters are Alice McGee of Cedar Key, Janet Townsend of Lake City, FL,and an uncle, Bob Monroe of Virginia. Preceded in death are his mother, Annae Rae Monroe, Grandparents Lester Earl Monroe and Marie Delight Monroe, sister Sarah Clarke, and other aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
Steve worked for Ryder trucking for 36 years as driver, training instructor and various duties. Steve's favorite pastimes were his family, boxing and most of all, Red fishing in the Gulf of Mexico!
Steve was in 5 military branches, serving proudly, with the longest services being in the US Army and US Marine Corp.
No funeral services will be held, at Steve's request, instead his family and friends are invited to Steve's 4th of July BBQ cookout memorial!
Steve's love and care will be greatly missed.
