Teala Mcswain

LAWNDALE- Ms. Teala Marie McSwain, 54, of 3311 Shelby Rd., died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of Mozelle Sparks McSwain of Lawndale and the late E.K. McSwain. Teala worked for DSS 33 years where she was the program director. She was also a member of Zion Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir. She truly loved her church.

SURVIVED: In addition to her mother, Teala is survived by her brother, Ted McSwain and wife Lynn of Lawndale; two nephews, Jimmy and Michael McSwain, both of Lawndale; and her DSS family over the years.

SERVICES: Services will be held, Saturday, 2pm, at Zion Baptist Church.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends, 6-8pm, Friday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

CLERGY: Tom Ensley will be officiating.


BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery
