SHELBY-Mr. Thomas Hammond, 75, of W. Elm St., died Tues., Dec. 10, 2013 at his home. He was the son of the late Jake and Ola Thomas Hammond. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and a business owner for many years.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Gayla Lynn Hammond, of the home; two sons, Eddie Hammond of Granite Falls, Todd Hammond and wife Cindy of Charlotte; daughter, Kelli Sullivan and Richard Diminich of Shelby; two sisters, Peggy Davis and husband C.L. of Belwood, Betty Howie and husband J.G. of Polkville; brother, Roger Hammond and wife Lucille of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Thomas and Adam Hammond, Bryce Sullivan, Olivia and Kristin Hammond.
SERVICES: 2PM, Thursday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel
VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home, at other times at his home.
