Tonketa "Toni" Humphries

SHELBY- Tonketa “Toni” Ellis Humphries, 69, died Wed., Dec. 7, 2016, at her residence. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Mary Sareree Waters Ellis. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, loved shopping, cooking and vacationing with her husband, in the mountains.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Chris Humphries; infant, baby Humphries; and brother, Jerry Ellis.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Dan Humphries, of the home; sisters-in law, Ellen Ellis, Elaine Pearson and husband Bill, Linda Bowen and husband Jim, all of Shelby, and Ellie Humphries of Mooresboro.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 2:30-4:00pm, prior to the service, at the church.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Friday, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church

OFFICIATING: Dr. J. Eric Davis and Rev. Andy Oliver

BURIAL: will immediately follow in the church cemetery
