Tyler Roper

Shelby, NC: Tyler Austin Roper, 33, died Monday, August 5,2024 at home. He is the son of Greg Roper of Inman, SC and Brenda Elmore and husband Jeff of Shelby. Tyler was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church, was a known comedian that put a smile on every ones face, loved hiking, being outside and had a passion for his favorite sports teams Duke, Crest, and the Atlanta Braves. He was well loved and will be missed by so many. He is survived by his loving wife, Morgan C. Roper; brother, Justin Roper and wife Rachel of Shelby; sister, Emily Parker of Shelby; grandparents, William and Rachel Jolley and Henry and Linda Terhorst; nephews, Dawson, Cole and Jack; special cousins, Kali Mullinax and Chris Moore; and fur babies, Winston and Salem. A memorial service will be held at 6:00PM Friday August 9,2024 at Flint Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Dixon and Rev. Shane Kirby officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary.
