SHELBY-Vesta Harris Lancaster, 86, of White Oak Manor, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cherokee County, NC, she was the daughter of the late George and Ida Clark Harris. She loved her family, quilting, fishing, reading her bible, and old time gospel music.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Franklin “J.F.” Lancaster; son, Kenny Trammell; and three brothers.
SURVIVED: She is survived by her sons, Roger Trammell and wife Pam of Blacksburg, Ronnie Trammell and wife Linda of Covington, GA; daughters, Diane Trammell of Quebec, Canada, and Sandi Sisk of Ellenboro; brother, Bill Harris of Gastonia; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; step-children, Joyce, Frank, and Roy; and in-laws, Charles Lancaster and wife Gladys.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Monday, 11a.m., at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel
VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home
