Vickie Carpenter

SHELBY: Victoria “Vickie” Baker Carpenter, 61, died Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Atrium Health Kings Mountain. Born in Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of Marianne Kleist Baker of Shelby and the late Willard Baker. Vickie worked as a bookkeeper with First National Bank for many years, and later worked at Kmart. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Carpenter; and daughter, Maranda Carpenter. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sisters, Pam Baker of Kings Mountain and Bonnie Lawenz and husband David of Mt. Holly; brother, Billy Baker of Gastonia; nephews, Charles Rhodes III and wife Sasha and Keenan Baker and girlfriend Haley Blackwell; and great nieces, Melani Baker and Hanako Rhodes. Funeral services will be private to the family.
