Virginia Harrill Wiggins Ricker

SHELBY- Mrs. Virginia Harrill Wiggins Ricker, 81, of 414 E. Warren St., Apt. 9A, died Monday, September 18, 2006 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
PERSONAL HISTORY: A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Jessie Gale Harrill. She worked for many years at the Lily Mill, Diana’s Shop in uptown Shelby and Connie Fashions in Asheville. She was of the Baptist faith.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Ricker and seven sisters.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by three daughters, June Barbee and husband, Ed, of N. Charleston, SC, Judi W. Hipps and husband, Jerry of Shelby, and Doodle Carroll and husband, Michael of Spartanburg, SC; a son, Larry Boyes of Gray Court, SC; a step son, Buck Ricker of Hot Springs, NC; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Judi and Jerry Hipps, 5016 Pecan Drive, Shelby.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
BURIAL: Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.

MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 222 S. Church St., Suite 303, Charlotte, NC 28202.
