Virginia Ramey Hoppes

KINGS MOUNTAIN- Mrs. Virginia Ramey Hoppes, 60, of 4918 E. Dixon Blvd., died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at Century Care of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Louise Kelley Ramey. Virginia retired with Ruppe Hosiery after 29 years. She loved listening to country music and was of the Baptist faith.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded by two brothers, Mike and J. E. Ramey; and one sister Frances Ramey.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by her companion and very best friend of 25 years, Ronnie Morrow of the home; one son, Kenneth Hoppes and wife Lynn of Dallas; one daughter Tammy Linville and husband Tim of Kings Mountain; two brothers, Roger Ramey and wife Phillis of Dallas, and John Ramey of Shelby; three grandchildren, Josh and Tylor Hoppes and Ashley Proctor; and her precious dog, Chip.

VISITATION: Wednesday, 2-4pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at the home.
