CHARLOTTE-Wanda Jo King, 68, died Sunday, July 31, 2016, at her home. A resident of Charlotte, she is the daughter of Sarah Bowen King of Holden Beach, and the late Vol Thomas King. She worked many years as an underwriter for St. Paul Insurance Company. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
SURVIVED: In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sisters, Susan King Poole and husband John Jordan of Jacksonville, Fla, and Linda Thornton and husband John of Waxhaw; brother, Scott King and wife Julie of Matthews; uncles, Tommy and Ted Bowen of Shelby; nephews, Benjamin Poole of Atlanta, Kevin and David King of Matthews, Zachary Thornton of Raleigh; nieces, Natalie Wilson of Boiling Springs, SC, Mary Anna Murray of Columbia, Caroline Jordan of Jacksonville, Fla., and Sarah Kate Thornton of Raleigh; and many great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
GRAVESIDE SERVICES: A graveside service will be held, 2pm, Thursday, at Cleveland Memorial Park
VISITATION: The family will receive friends following the service, at the cemetery
CLERGY: Pastor Donnie Preslar will officiate
