April 27, 1959 — September 5, 2014

SHELBY-Wanda Wray Smith, 57, of Polkville Rd., died Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, at her home. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of Tavia Burnette Peterson and husband Harold of Polkville, and the late Marion Brown Wray. She loved working in her yard and caring for others.

PRECEDED: In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Orlin Smith; sister, Kathie Jenkins; and niece Denise Mitchell.

SURVIVED: In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ronnie Ervin of the home; son, Joshua Smith and wife Deyanira of Shelby; daughter, Candie Lovelace and husband Travis of Ellenboro; step-sons, Joshua Ervin and wife Heather of Forest City, and Jeremy Ervin and wife Melissa of Charlotte; sisters, Janice Mathis and husband Rev. Kevin of Kings Mountain, Alecia Wright of Shelby; brothers, Danny Peterson and wife Crystal of Shelby, and Kevin Wray of Forest City; grandchildren, Betani and Orlin Smith, Storm Johnson, Dixie, Caroline, Sarah, and Jacob Lovelace, and Annalee Ervin.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Wednesday, 11a.m., at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Tuesday, 6-7:30p.m., at the funeral home

BURIAL: Sunset Cemetery

CLERGY: Rev. Kevin Mathis
