SHELBY- Mrs. Wanda Kay Cleary, 53, of 223 Broad St., died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of Elizabeth Turner Warren of Shelby and the late Dock Emory. She was retired from FASCO and was of the Baptist Faith.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Wayne Emory.
SURVIVORS: In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Roger Carl Chapman, Jr. of SC; a daughter, Crystal Dawn Barrett of Shelby; three sisters, Mary Melissa Turner and husband, Forrest of Lattimore, Mary Ann Powell and husband, James, of Newton, and Patsy Scoggins and husband, Jeff, of Kings Mountain; three brothers, Johnny Emory and wife, Shirley, of Grover, Jack Emory of Mooresboro, and Larry Emory and wife, Tonya, of Shelby; and six grandchildren.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the home of Bennie and Dorothy Curtis, 2844 Highway 198, Earl.
