Wayne Thomas

Kings Mountain- Wayne Lee Thomas, 67, died Tuesday, September, 29, 2020 at Atrium Health Kings Mountain. A Native of Dahlonega, Georgia he was the son of the late Herbert and Sarah Hatfield Thomas. Wayne was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved to laugh and make others laugh, he was never on time, but never met a stranger. Wayne was a hard worker who loved tractors and was a natural caregiver. Wayne was the longtime self-employed owner of C& M Machine Company. He was also a long time follower of Jesus Christ and member of Anthony Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Rachel Bradley Thomas of the home; son, Rev. Matt Thomas and wife Kristen; daughter, Cindy Blanton and husband Chris all of Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Michael, Brooke, Brittany, Sophia, and Lydia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 4pm Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Anthony Grove Baptist Church, with Dr. Dennis Dean, Rev. Ken Faulkenbury and Rev. Matt Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the church. Burial will take place 2pm Sunday, October 4, 2020 in Mountain Rest Cemetery.
