BILL MULLINAX
SHELBY-William “Bill” Mullinax, 62, died Monday, July 17, 2017, at Carolinas Medical Center-Charlotte. He was born in Cherokee County, S.C., to the late William Lamar and Helen Stroup Mullinax. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and especially loved fishing on Lake Wateree, Clemson football, golfing, and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a gentle giant of a man.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gerri Davis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Gay Turner Mullinax, of the home; son Todd Mullinax and wife Jennifer of Shelby; sisters Brenda Lanier and husband Keith of Gaffney, and Dorothy Byars and husband Willie of Mooresboro; brother Tony Mullinax and wife Andrea of Chattanooga, Tennessee; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend Charlie Chapman; and faithful canine companion Scooter.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Liberty Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Mack Tester.
