SHELBY- Mr. William “Bill” Boswell, 77, of 1207 Woodhill Drive, died Saturday, January 27, 2007 at home. A native of Cook County, Illinois, he was born to the late William Harold Boswell, Sr. and Helen Clapp Boswell. He was a general sales manager with Bost Bakery and served in the Navy Reserves. He was a member of Christopher Rd. Baptist Church, was a former member of the Elks Lodge and was past President and member of the Exchange Club.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ruth Boswell and a son, Donald Bruce Boswell.
SURVIVORS: He is survived by two sons, Eric William Boswell and wife, Diana, of Shelby and Steven Boswell, Sr. of Colorado; a sister, Shirley Harris and husband, Richard, of Branson, Missouri; five grandchildren, Christopher Boswell, Daniel Boswell, Steven Boswell, Jr., and Erica Boswell, all of Shelby and Justin Sellers of California; and four great grandchildren, Cory, Alyssa, Blake and Brandon. The family would like to thank special friends and caregivers with Hospice, Kristie Suttle and Martha Merriweather.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Christopher Rd. Baptist Church.
LIE-IN-STATE: The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.
BURIAL: Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m., Monday, January 29, 2007 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home.
