KINGS MOUNTAIN: Willie Mae Camp, 87, died Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Testa Family Hospice House. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late William Richard and Nettie Dixon Mellon. She was a beloved wife and mother who loved red birds, Christmas and flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Eargel Camp; son, Jerry Camp; brothers, Paul, Fred and Boyd Mellon; and sisters, Lillian Owens, Francis Robertson and Lounez Brown. She is survived by her sons, Douglas Camp and wife Emily of Shelby and Jimmy Camp of Kings Mountain; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Jenkins, Polly Houston and Joyce George, all of Newton. A special thanks to Ruth Williams of Kings Mountain, for all the love and dedication she gave to our mother and family. Funeral services will be held 2pm, Monday, January 4, 2021 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel in Kings Mountain, with the Rev. John Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
