SHELBY: Mrs. Willie Muril Holtzclaw White, 80, of 211 N. Morgan Street, died Friday, May 5, 2006 at Cleveland Regional Medical center.

FUNERAL: 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 7, 2006, in the Chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home

BURIAL: Will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.

VISITATION: Sunday, May 7, 2006, from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

PERSONAL HISTORY: Born in Cleveland County, July 12, 1925, to the late James C. and Gertie Jones Holtzclaw, she was retired from the Lily Mill. She was a member of Shelby Free Will Baptist Church where she formerly sang in the choir, was a Christian lady who loved to cook for her family and friends, and was famous for her cakes, pies, and egg custard.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Franklin White, her daughter, Jill W. Hubbard, her son, Tommy Ray White, and her sister, Jeanette Costner.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Brenda Clary and husband, David, of Shelby;
five grandchildren, David Neil Clary and wife, Teresa, and Chris Hubbard and wife, Lori, all of Shelby, Angela Gunter and husband, Shawn, of Lancaster, SC, Rusty White and fiancée, Shelly, of Pineville, and Tonya White of Wilmington; nine great grandchildren, Kelsie, Carley, and Morgan Clary, Ashley and Amber Hubbard, Andy and Evan Gunter, and Mark and Jeff Crawford; and a number of nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Don Costner and his wife, Bobby Jo.
