Wilma Rippy

SHELBY: Wilma Webber Rippy, 105, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at Peak Resources of Shelby. A native of Cherokee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Barbara Moss Webber. She worked at the Cleveland Cloth Mill, and was a member of Zoar Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday school class.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Rippy; brothers, Claude, Leon, Lawrence, and Coy Webber;and sisters, Lucille Moss, Myrtle Blackburn, and Hazel Peace.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her sons, Donald Lee Rippy and John Douglas Rippy and wife Isabelle; daughter, Annette Rippy Justice; sister, Fay Clary, all of Shelby; grandchildren, Robert Dean Rippy of Shelby, David Neal Rippy of Raleigh, and Tracy Bridges of Gaffney; and great-grandchildren, Kennedy Sloan Rippy and Delena Grace Patrick.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Monday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home

OFFICIATING: Dr. Harold Fite will officate

BURIAL: Will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park

MEMORIALS: Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150

FUNERAL HOME: Arrangements entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby
