SHELBY- Windy Nichole Hollifield, 35, died Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of Myra Rogers Hollifield of Shelby, and Doug Hollifield. Windy attended North Shelby School, and worked at Cleveland Vocational Industries and Shelby Day Hab. She was active in Hearts and Hooves and the Special Olympics, where she won many metals.
PRECEDED: She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Dwight Rogers and Jack Hollifield
SURVIVED: In addition to her parents, she is survived by her grandmothers, Mary Rogers of Shelby, and Ruth Hollifield; her Young Street Family; her aunts, uncles, and very special cousins who loved her very much; and her dedicated canine companions, Coco, Star, Thunder, and Trouble, that were always by her side; and her loving best friend for life, Marty Murray Jr.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held Monday, 3pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel
VISITATION: The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, at the funeral home.
BURIAL: will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park
