Wray Causby

November 17, 1929 — September 4, 2017

KINGS MOUNTAIN-Alvin “Wray” Causby, 87, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, at the Brian Center in Gastonia. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Benjamin Palmer and Nellie Hord Causby. Wray was a member of New Camp Creek Baptist Church, worked for NCDOT, retired from the City of Shelby, and had a love for fishing.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Grant Causby; and brother, Larry Causby.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his sisters, Rita Gann of Kings Mountain and Martha Greene of Foristell, MO.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Wednesday, 6-7:30pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Thursday, at New Camp Creek Baptist Church

OFFICIATING: Revs. Richard Stroup and J.R. Robbins will officiate

BURIAL: Will follow in the church cemetery
