SHELBY- Mr. William Thompson “W.T.” Wright, 75, of 3457 Fallston Rd., died Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
PERSONAL HISTORY: A native of Cleveland County, he was a son of the late William Cledith and Bessie Jane Wellmon Wright. He was retired from PPG and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Padgett.
SURVIVORS: He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy Doster Wright of the home; a son, Jeff Wright, and wife, Annette of Shelby; two grandchildren, Seth and Emma Wright, both of Shelby; and a niece, Rebecca Hord and husband, Elliott of Boiling Springs.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and other times at the home.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be held on Friday, September 22, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
LIE-IN-STATE: The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
BURIAL: Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
OFFICIATING CLERGY: Rev. Rick Hamrick will officiate the service.
