Zenobia Mallin

SHELBY- Mrs. Zenobia “ZZ” Felicia Ellis Mallin, 86, of 1176 Wyke Road, died Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Mack Raleigh and Ethel Loyd Hambrick Ellis. She retired from Liberty Life Insurance Company as an insurance agent and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She graduated from Cliffside High School and later graduated from Queens College. She was a member of Ballet of the Arts in Charlotte. Mrs. Mallin also campaigned and worked on the staff of John F. Kennedy. She worked as a beauty consultant and was a cosmetologist. She was also a CAN for home health.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Billy Houser Ellis.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by her nephew Ronald D. Ellis and wife Sandra of Charlotte; a Niece Jan Ellis Childs and husband Edwin of Tennessee, several great and great great nieces and nephews; and special support family Ronald and Teri Ellison, Hillary Padgett and Heather Ellison; Tommy, Dakota and Dustin Terry, Margie and Jerry Bowen, and Louise Terry.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends an hour before the service Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: A memorial service will be held, Saturday, September 5, 2009 11am, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

INTERMENT:. Burial will immediately follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
